Jeff Stone is a graduate of Auburn University, where he served as President of the Student Government Association. Jeff has been an active member of our community for more than 40 years, and currently serves as Executive Vice-President at Brasfield & Gorrie. In his current role, Jeff oversees field operations and corporate support functions for approximately $4.0 billion in annual construction revenues, 37 operating divisions, and projects in 22 states, while serving on the company’s Executive Board. Prior to becoming Executive Vice-President, Jeff served as the Chief Operating Officer, Manager of the Healthcare Division, Vice President of Operations, and Regional President responsible for more than $900 million in projects. His initial work experience included service in both estimating and project management. In 2014, Jeff was inducted into The State of Alabama Engineering Hall of Fame for his significant contributions to the advancement of engineering and technology.
Jeff devotes much of his time to civic and philanthropic efforts. Jeff is a former chairman of the Auburn University Foundation, the Auburn Alumni Engineering Council, the Samford University Board of Overseers, and is a member of the Birmingham Southern College Norton Board. He is a member of Canterbury United Methodist Church where he serves on the church council and on the board of the Canterbury Foundation. Jeff is a past Captain of the Monday Morning Quarterback Club and is currently on the boards of the ODK Foundation, Children’s Harbor, The Club, and the Crippled Children’s Foundation. In 2019, Jeff was recognized by Auburn University with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Additionally, he has served on the boards of the Civic Club Foundation, REV Birmingham, and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, where he was recognized as its Living and Giving Honoree in 2011. Jeff is a past president of the Birmingham Sunrise Rotary Club, a Paul Harris Fellow, and a member of the Rotary Club of Birmingham. He is also a graduate of Leadership Birmingham and Leadership Alabama. Jeff and his wife Linda have been involved as donors and volunteers with the United Way of Central Alabama for 40 years. They have been members of the Tocqueville Society since 2008 and are currently members of the Daniel J. Dunne Circle and the Million Dollar Legacy Circle. Jeff was the chair of the Tocqueville Society in 2015 and received the Mervyn H. Sterne Award for his outstanding efforts that year. Jeff also served as the Annual Campaign Chair of United Way of Central Alabama in 2019 and currently serves on the Board of Directors.
Jeff and Linda have also been loyal supporters of the American Red Cross. Jeff is a past Board Member of the Alabama Chapter and served as both Development Chair and Treasurer. The Stones are Founding Members of the Humanitarian Circle / Disaster Support and are also members of the American Red Cross Legacy Society. Jeff and Linda have three children and four grandchildren.
